(CNN) – Imagine a warm, untouched paradise. White sand beaches. The water is turquoise, clear as gin. And you have the #1 beach in the world for 2022, according to Tripadvisor users.
The travel platform has just unveiled the second annual Travellers’ Choice Awards for 2022: Best of the Best Beaches.
In the first place is Grace Bay Beach on the Turks and Caicos Islands.
This beautiful location on the Atlantic Ocean is not exactly new to the best beach route. It ranked 4th in the 2021 Tripadvisor Awards.

The Caribbean has the most beaches on this year’s top 10 list, with five continents represented in the tally. Brazil is the only destination that has more than one entry with three impressive beaches.
For 2022, the best beaches are:
1 Grace Bay Beach: Providenciales, Turks and Caicos
2. Varadero Beach: Varadero, Cuba
3. Turquoise Bay: Exmouth, Australia
4. Quart Praia: Morro de Sao Paulo, Brazil

Attractiveness of Grace Bay Beach
A barrier reef offshore helps protect Grace Bay Beach from algae and other objects, according to the official Turks and Caicos tourism website. Boating and other water sports are popular in the calm shallow waters between the beach and the reef.
A trip to the Turks and Caicos
Here’s what you need to know about traveling to the Turks and Caicos during the pandemic.
Firstly, guests from all over the world rest here; however, you must be fully vaccinated if you are 16 or older.
All travelers aged 2 years and older require a negative Covid-19 PCR test result taken no more than three days prior to arrival for entry. There is no quarantine upon arrival. You must complete a travel authorization form and Covid-19 travel insurance is also required.
Masks are required in all public places until February 28 for everyone aged 2 and over. There are no restrictions on movement between the islands in the chain.
As of February 22, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention was reporting Level 4 (very high risk) travel to the islands. This is the CDC’s highest level, and the agency advises people to avoid the Turks and Caicos Islands for now.
Hapuna Beach in Hawaii was named the best beach in the USA.

How places are chosen
According to Tripadvisor, the selections are based on the places that are most popular among their reviewers.
The Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best award was based on the quantity and quality of Tripadvisor traveler reviews and beach ratings collected between January 1, 2021 and December 31, 2021.
A recent Tripadvisor survey found that 37% of travelers will head to the beach in 2022.
