Review: Citi Simplicity Credit Card

0% introductory annual interest rate for 21 months on balance transfers: This is one of the longest initial balance transfer periods we have experienced. You will receive 0% initial annual income on the transferred balance for the full 21 months, which means you will have almost two years to pay off the balance.

0% introductory APR for 12 months on purchases of: You will also receive 0% starting annual income on new purchases for the first 12 months. This is a useful perk if you plan to buy anything with the card.

Select payment date: A little flexibility can go a long way when it comes to managing your finances. The card allows you to choose any available payment date, whether it is the beginning, middle or end of the month. This way you can set up automatic payments according to your salary.

No late fees: One of the most unique advantages is the absence of late fees. While you should always pay your bill on time because late payments can still affect your credit, it’s good to know that you won’t be charged if you make a mistake and miss a payment.

No penalty per year: If you miss some payments, most credit cards will increase your interest rate up to their penalty APR. The Citi® Simplicity® Card never charges a penalty, so your annual income cannot increase due to late payments.

No annual fee: This card comes with no annual fee, which is an important feature if your goal is to pay off debt.
