The French luxury house announced on Tuesday that actress Deepika Padukone has been appointed as the first brand ambassador for Louis Vuitton in India.

The role of the 36-year-old Bollywood star was cast as part of a new bag campaign in which she starred alongside Emma Stone and Chinese actor Zhou Dongyu in a series of promotional shots.

In addition to regularly being photographed wearing Louis Vuitton sportswear and bags, Padukone has previously modeled for the brand.
