The dusky padamelon is a marsupial that lives on the islands around Indonesia and New Guinea. It’s kind of like a miniature kangaroo. Pademelone is born the size of a jelly bean, the zoo said. When the child reaches adulthood, he will be a little less than two feet tall.
The pademolon population has declined by 30% in the last twenty years, mainly due to hunting. This species is recognized as “Vulnerable” by the International Union for Conservation of Nature.
